The University of San Diego’s small business development center, the Brink, will launch a new event to develop more angel investors across the metro.
The San Diego Angel Conference will give eight startups the opportunity to compete for up to $200,000. It stands out from other pitch contests by pairing experienced local investors with first-time investors, who will pool their resources into the final award.
The March 15, 2019 conference is being hosted by the Brink, Hera Labs and CONNECT. Both entrepreneurs and investors will have opportunities to attend workshops and work with mentors leading up to the event.
Conference organizers are seeking local entrepreneurs with early-stage growth companies in any industry. The deadline for applications is Dec. 17, 2018.
